The Energy Matrix is a Policy Consultancy, founded by Dr. Maria Kottari, that channels in-depth academic knowledge and professional experience, to realize tangible results in delivering a clean energy transition, mitigation, and adaptation to climate change consequences.
Politics, economics, and social aspects interplay in the domains of energy and climate action. The Energy Matrix aims to balance and harmonise these factors in the decision-making process, for the benefit of solution design and implementation.
The Energy Matrix is currently taking a break as Dr. Kottari has started a collaboration as Principal Consultant at Technopolis Group(Dutch office)

More than 10 years of experience in energy & climate policies, sustainability, innovation & social challenges.
Highly skilled in communication, social media, project management, & design thinking, able to communicate in 6 languages (EL, EN, FR, DE, NL, AR).
Was for 2 years a part-time Researcher & Teaching Associate (Climate Cluster) at the School of Transnational Governance of the European University Institute & currently a visiting Lecturer at the University of Amsterdam.
Collaborated with the European Commission (EC) as External Expert & multiyear experience at the EC's Joint Research Centre, focusing on research & innovation (SET Plan)
Collaborated with the Food & Agricultural Organisation of the United Nations (FAO) as an Independent Consultant for projects on climate change adaptation.
